Conrado Eggers-Lecour (Montevideo, Uruguay 1899-Connecticut, USA 1979) was a journalist, writer, critic, translator and political figure whose spirit, curiosity, commitment, broad knowledge, and joie de vivre inspired and shaped my life. These pages are a tribute to him as a figure and as my father.

The writings included in these webpages exhibit the broad range of his scholarship and interests. He engaged in scrupulous research before writing any article and called upon his extensive knowledge of literature, politics, philosophy, science, and the arts to develop his writing as well as his one-on-one interviews of prominent figures, among them Einstein, the Prince of Wales, and Clark Gable.
